Length in minutes

The basic prices for our transcriptions are:

2000 kr – English and Swedish

Prices above are excluding VAT, per audio hour. In other words, you pay for the recorded time, not the time we use to transcribe it. This method gives you a predictable and transparent price.

We use standard rounding rules to round each audio file to nearest minute.

Language

Please select the language that you wish to transcribe.

No. of participants

No. of participants include the number of people who make up a significant part of the audio file. Participants who make very short contributions in 30 seconds or less are not included.

Both people who interview as well as respondents are included.

Price for each extra participant after the first two: 50 kr/audio hour.

Delivery within (days)

We offer transcripts within 1, 2, 3 or 7 workdays, where slower delivery results in a lower price. As a customer, you can choose the delivery time that suits you best without paying more than you need. When you place your order, you can specifiy exactly when you need your transciption delivered.

Distinguish participants in groups

The basic price does not distinguish participants from each other. They are instead referred to as interviewers and respondents.

With this addition, we distinguish all interviewers and respondents by name, provided that their names are presented and that the sound quality makes it possible to identify their unique voice.

Price per participant to be distinguished: 50 kr/audio hour.

Sound quality

In most cases, the sound files we receive are of good quality. In some cases, the quality is lacking. This may be due to the fact that the microphone has been placed too far away from the interview object, that there is background noise or that people speak over one another.

See our pricing for examples of recordings with a quality we concider to be lacking. If you as a customer have not identified that the quality is lacking, and we do during the transcription process, we will contact you right away and discuss the way forward.

Price for lacking quality: 250 kr/audio hour.

Exact transcription

Exact transcription means that we write out filler words, half sentences, hesitations like “eh” and the like. This makes the text a bit more difficult to read, but makes sure all the small details in an interview are included.

Discreet confirmations, like “mm” from the interviewer while the respondent is speaking, is not included unless it adds meaning to the conversation.

If confirming sounds is used as an answer to a question, or used to mark a paus or the start of a question, it gets written down and included in the transcription.

Price for Exact transcription: 300 kr/audio hour.

How do you guarantee security and privacy?
The safety of our customers' materials is one of our most important tasks. Our intranet uses 128-bit security-class encryption, which provides high and reliable security. All employees use Norton Antivirus latest premium product. All employees are trained to handle classified material and sign Non-Disclosure Agreements (NDAs). Read more about our safety work here.
How soon can I get my files transcribed?
We offer to transcribe your material within one, two, three or seven days, where slower delivery results in a lower price. As a customer, you can choose the delivery time that suits you best without paying too much.
In what languages can you transcribe?
We transcribe in Swedish, Norwegian and English. The same starting price of 2000 kr applies regardless of which language you choose.
Is it difficult to upload through the intranet?
No, the intranet is designed for uploading transcriptions, providing a smooth workflow for you as a customer. If you need help, you can always contact us via chat, email or phone. For more information about the intranet, see How it works.
